Children deserve a home….. There are currently 162 children from the Ware County (City of Waycross) area in Foster Care. There are only 19 approved Foster families. More Foster homes are needed. (Waycross Journal-Herald, 10-12-2022)
If abortion is not going to be legal in Georgia (or is just not accessible to women in need), there will be more of a need people to be willing to open their homes and hearts to the unwanted children. I hope and pray that the financial, emotional, and physical costs to both the woman who is pregnant and her unborn fetus will be humanely treated by our lawmakers…..and that more financially able adults will step up and open their wallets to care for the children who are born and living in our communities. For “God’s Word has a special place for children, and so should we. We should take care of the children in our communities because God expects us to – but also because we, as God’s children, have received care. And the Golden Rule says we should treat others as we would want to be treated ourselves (JUNE 19, 2018, FREE WILL BAPTIST CHILDREN’S HOME, https://fwbhome.org/bible-says-caring-children/).“
For is it not better to never be born into this harsh and difficult world than to be born and to be left to be uncared for and to possibly starve to death?
“And whoever welcomes one such child in My name welcomes Me. If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea (Matthew 18:2-6).”
